A friend and I were discussing the Sleep Hygiene Rules, which I can recite in my sleep!! Ha ha. Get it!!!!
There will be a reference to the previous post, displaying the two buzzards! Just wait:
But I still looked them up to be certain, and here they are:
1). Keep your room quiet and dark.
2). Eat like a bird!!!! Yeah right, There has to be a reward for all this pain!!!!
3). Time your sleep right.
4) Calm down before bedtime! Okeee dokeey! Mr. Panic Attack, just settle down!!!!
5) Leave Fido & Fluffy out of the room. 😔
6) Keep your cool. 🤐
7) Save your bedroom for intimacy and sleep only. For me it's the most comfy and coolest.
8) Practice relaxing b😳😬
9) Don't smoke!
10). Stop having caffeine 4 - 6 hours before bed. Boy is that a hard one, especially when you are going around with toothpicks holding your eyes open!
11) No night caps. ( So tempting when you are not sleeping, but alcohol actually interrupts REM sleep resulting in worse problems.
Of course it can be so easy to self medicate, but we see sad examples of that everywhere we turn. It effects nearly every family, no matter what they are like or who they are. I'm sorry that I went off on a bunny trail!
