I Have A Brand New Skill......

I can forget what I am doing while I am forgetting!!!!!!

Sorry, I see to be stuck on fibro fog lately!!!!!!!

How are you doing during this crazy time we are going thru?! the pandemic? the stuck in the house situation? As I have mentioned before, it can be hard anyway for people suffering from pain and depression, and then to be quarantined can make it so much worse! There must be countless people that do not have family nearby during this time. I tried looking up the statistics, but did not find any numbers yet. But I cannot even imagine how many people there must be. I think back about my sweet grandmother who lived with us for many years. I have referred to her before. My Mother cared for her until her own health was suffering. My parents placed her in the only nursing home in town. Ugh and so sad! (and so many of us have been there, that are older, or maybe not) My point being that she had a roommate. She was this sweet little old lady that literally never had visitors, no family visit that we never knew of. So we did what most of us would do, we visited her, and included her. That was 50 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!! In our fast paced world today, where families live so far apart, and values differ incredibly, We all know it, and see it around us. I cannot even fathom the statistics.

But back to my original question about how are you doing? If you are marooned at home most of the time, what things do you do that make you feel encouraged? Uplifted? Happy, Peace, Joyful, so many emotions ............

For me my encouragements are: my

Faith, and Praying

Church - Sunday School Class - Wonderful Teacher and his wife that keeps up with everybody and everything) I have mentioned her before, and will probably mention her again!

Bible Study - We miss our study so much right now, and our wonderful leader!

My husband, sons, and wonderful family ( I cannot mention them all!)

Our 2 dogs

Friends! Talking on the Phone!!! Too much!! ( We both get encouragement!! HA HA (Both friends that have pain issues and those that do not, but understand and are so supportive)

Garage Sales, Goodwill, Estate Sales! Yeah

Reading - I read a book every couple of days! I am an addict! I know that there are a lot of you out there like me!!!!! I hate to confess, but my favorite books and true crime! Part of my major in college was criminology. I want to know "Who Dun It?" ! I love historical nonfiction, history, as long as it is not too deep for my feeble brain. ( My husband majored in History and Philosophy! Can you imagine? ) I love biographies, autobiographies ............... So many of them are easy reads, and you can find out crazy gossip about old movie stars, such as Judy Garland or Scarlett O'Hara! Or disconcerting biographies on Carey Grant.......

OK. Back to the list.

Movies - All types God Sightings - Small things around us everyday, constantly, that we can observe. I am the worst at taking most everything for granted.

Pretty cloud .......

God Things - Just little things all around us that are taking place, And we have the opportunity to participate in kindness. Most of the time I'm too busy to see the elderly lady pushing her cart slowly to the rack.

Used to be going out to eat! Ha Ha (helps the ole budget)

I will add more to the list

Forgot to add one of the main ones, Arts and Crafts!!!.

Hope you have a good day. And that you reach out to others if that is what you need!

From Me to U!
