Do you enjoy reading The Chicken Soup for the Soul books? I just love them! I used to use them when I was counseling people. They were great encouragers or helped with self esteem. One story has always stuck out in my mind. It is called, "Delayed Delivery." Maybe you have already read it, and loved it!
It is sadly about an elderly man that is dying of cancer, and his sweet wife who is at his bedside constantly caring for him until the end. But the story goes on to describe how one is never quite prepared for the actuality of death. After his death, she is trying to adjust to life without him. Christmas is coming, and she does not put out any of their beautiful decorations. But on Christmas eve, there is a knock at the door.....

She told us about her 5 big dogs that she had, indoors of course. And she described how Everytime that she went to the restroom, all 5 big 🐕 would have to crowd in there with her in this small room! The audience roared with laughter as we pictured this scene!

There is nothing like getting under a blanket on a Sunday afternoon, with a good book, and having both dogs crowded against me!!!
I am going to include pictures of my 2 fur babies. I have some pictures of my sweet friends' fur babies, which I am also going to include. I would love it if you would share pictures of yours. They could also be pictures of pets that are now in Heaven.
Above I said "annoy that" instead of "about that"! Typo city 😊
I remember when I was much younger asking my pastor, Steve Troxel, if my dogs would be in heaven when I die. He said that the Bible doesn't give a definitive answer annoy that but that he was sure that is it was necessary for my happiness in heaven they would surely be there. That answer was good enough for me. I, too, have gained so much from being around all my pets over the years. My old dachshund Leroy is now 13 years old & I hate the thought of him not being with me one day. I think about how completely awful it sounds to not have a dog by my side but know that realistically I don'…
